Présentation : Apres la séparation du groupe Twisted Sister, le chanteur Dee Snider a d'abord formé le combo Desperado sans grand succès puis Widowmaker en 1991. Un premier album est sorti la même année puis ce fut la rencontre avec Al Pitrelli, guitariste de son état, qui donne un ton résolument plus power-metal aux compositions du groupe.
Le deuxième opus de Widowmaker "Stand by for pain" sort en 1994 avec comme titre ouverture ce "Killing Time". Le style de l'album lorgne du côté de Pantera en moins violent.
Hélas, l'album sera aussi un relatif échec commercial et Dee Snider ira reformer Twisted Sister quelques années plus tard pour un album de Noël et une tournée triomphale.
