Présentation : Chanson traditionnelle jamaïcaine, dont la première version enregistrée date de 1952 par la groupe trinitéen Edric Connor and the Caribbeans. C'est Harry Belafonte qui a rendu populaire ce mento en deux temps, d'abord en 1956 avec la version intégrée à l'album "Calypso", puis en 1988 avec la bande originale du film "Beetlejuice" dans une de ses scènes cultes avec la remarquable interprétation de Catherine O'Hara.

Le film qui nous a révélé l'univers fantastique, fantaisiste et poétique de Tim Burton.
Même si ce long métrage est tout bonnement génial, son film suivant sera un pur chef-d'œuvre, en l'occurence le "Edouard aux mains d'argent" avec à la B-O. somptueuse, concoctée par son futur complice compositeur musical pour l'ensemble de sa filmographie, l'indispensable Danny Elfman.
Comme un Bernard Hermann pour Alfred Hitchkock ou un Henri Mancini pour Blake Edwards.
