La très triste chanson "Ruby, don't take your love to town", a été interprétée par son auteur-compositeur Mel Tillis et reprise concomitamment par Waylon Jennings.
La version française "Ruby, tu reviens au pays" est chantée par Eddy Mitchell, alors que Robert Demontigny chante "Oh Marie, reviens moi" et que la chanson "Ruby, garde ton cœur ici" a été interprétée par Nana Mouskouri et par Gérard Vermont.
En allemand, "Ruby, mach's mir doch nicht so schwer" est chantée par Jonny Hill, alors que Gerhard Wendland interprète "Ruby, schau einmal über'n Zaun" tout comme Franny und Sammi alors que "Ruby, es ist besser du bleibst hier" est interprété par André Lamberz und Hill's Angels et que Gunther Gabriel chante "Ruby". Quant à Hank Häberle Jr., il interprète "Oh Traude".
