Merci à fan80 de nous avoir proposé aussi l'original.
N'oublions pas que ce qui semble être un blanc, au début du disque, n'est en fait que le murmure de John et Yoko… Tendez l'oreille !!!

On pourra remarquer l'étrange similitude avec "Stewball" (adapté en français par Hugues Aufray)… John Lennon l'a d'ailleurs presque avoué. Davantage une chanson contre la guerre du Vietnam qu'une chanson de Noël, au point que le "war is over if you wan it' a été standardisé sur de nombreux tee-shirts. Il existe une version alternative dans les divers best-of lennoniens où le "happy Xmas Julian" est remplacé par un "Happy Xmas John".
