Présentation : Jiles Perry Richardson alias Big Bopper est un chanteur américain né le 24 octobre 1930 à Sabine Passage au Texas, mort le 3 février 1959 à Clear Lake dans l'Iowa, aux États-Unis lors de l'accident d'avion qui coûta aussi la vie à Buddy Holly et à Ritchie Valens. "Chantilly Lace" a été adapté par Lucky Blondo, "Les petites dentelles", par Luis Mariano, "Ma p'tite chérie", par Jacques Hélian, "Les dentelles" et par Eddy Mitchell, "Au camp du bonheur".

La chanson "Chantilly Lace" du Big Bopper a été interprétée en français par Jacques Hélian et son orchestre sous l'intitulé "Les dentelles", par Lucky Blondo sous l'intitulé "Les p'tites dentelles", par Luis Mariano sous l'intitulé "Ma p'tite chérie" et par Eddy Mitchell sous le titre "Au camp du bonheur".
En finnois, Turo's Hevi Gee a interprété "Puhelin Rock".
En allemand, Rudi Büttner chante "Ich liebe you".
En espagnol, La Onda vaselina a interprété "Una chavita".
La version suédoise, "En liten tös" a été" interprétée par Alf Robertson.
Parmi les reprises, notons celle de Jerry Lee Lewis, celle des repreneurs du rock Sha Na na ou celle des Nashville Teens
