Présentation : Après Kai Hansen (parti) et Michael Kiske (viré), Helloween s'adjuge les services de l'ancien chanteur du groupe 'pink cream', Andi Deris.
Extrait du concept album sur les prophéties de Nostradamus "The time of the oath", le titre "Before the war" renoue avec les débuts speed-métal du groupe au grand bonheur des fans. L'album (leur septième) a été celui de la renaissance pour les teutons à la citrouille.
"The time of the oath" est également dédié à la mémoire de leur ancien batteur Ingo Schwichtenberg, décédé l'année précédente.

Hej,
En effet, un très bon album d'Helloween après sa période noire, après Master of the rings qui était déjà un renouveau. D'ailleurs, sur la pochette, on a à la fois une référence à celle de Keeper of the seven keys (part 1) avec le mage et les démons sur la droite, et à celle de Master of the rings, dans la cagoule.

Comme le souligne yvesson, la description zappe le premier album de Helloween avec Deris, le très bon Master of the Rings et sa ribambelle de classiques - "Perfect Gentleman", "Mr. Ego" ou encore "Where the Rain grows".
D'ailleurs, comme The Time of the Oath, je le place parmi les meilleurs albums du groupe.
